Engineering Division Manager
Thousand Oaks (pop. ~123,000), located along U.S. Highway 101 between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, is consistently ranked among the safest cities in the nation and is widely regarded as an exceptional place to live and work. The City’s Public Works Department is staffed by approximately 200 employees who are responsible for many services, including engineering. Three Engineering Managers report to the Deputy Director/City Engineer. The Engineering Manager overseeing land development and transportation will retire this summer and the city plans to hire in advance of that transition. The City seeks well-rounded leaders who combine technical credibility with approachability, sound judgment, and a collaborative leadership style to work on a wide range of high-impact projects.
