Who We Are
Government Contracting Services (GCS) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), headquartered in Tacoma, Washington with a branch located in Huntsville, AL. The Founder and President has proudly served his country and continues to do so today by providing specialized services to meet many of the Government’s diverse needs.
SECURITY, FIRE and VSS SOLUTIONS
At GCS our most valuable resource is our staff. All our technicians are OSHA Red Cross-approved, and trained in First Aid and CPR Life Safety, Asbestos Awareness, and Operations and Security (OPSEC). They also hold all the proper credentials in their respective trades: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) training and certification, low voltage electrical, electronic security systems, fire alarm, mass notification systems, and fiber optic design and installation that includes some of the most technologically advanced security systems currently in use across the country. The Job
NICET II, III, IV Fire Alarm System Technician
The Fire Alarm System Technician must be able to perform corrective and preventative maintenance of the Fire Alarm System. The installation and service of the systems requires work planning and the scheduling of with other trades to complete tasks on time and within budget. The Fire Alarm System Technician will serve as the main liaison between the customer and the company and operate as the site lead.
Minimum Requirements:
2+ years of experience with the installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm Systems.
Ability to secure and maintain a Secret Clearance - Current Secret Clearance is a plus.
Must pass pre-employment drug and background screenings.
Excellent communication skills.
Honesty & Integrity.
Customer Service.
Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel.
Preferred Certifications:
Honeywell, DMP, Edwards
Other Skills:
Comprehensive understanding of low voltage systems and their applications.
Demonstrable experience in relay logic.
Electronic Access Control Systems – PACS.
Camera Systems – CCTV/VSS.
Intrusion Detections Systems – IDS.
Computers & Servers – Microsoft SQL.
Networking.
Previously Military Experience preferred but not required.

Electronic Access Control Systems – PACS experience.
