Supervising Engineer - Right of Way
The Right of Way Division is responsible for managing and coordinating use of the city’s right of way (ROW). This includes construction, vending, sidewalk cafes, and other temporary uses. The division processes approximately 30,000 requests per year. The division’s responsibilities include issuing permits, reviewing engineered plans, coordinating work, planning projects, performing inspections, and enforcing city ordinances. This position is focused on managing staff that are responsible for the review of engineered plans, utility coordination, inspections, supporting special events, and code enforcement.   The City of Austin is seeking to fill a Supervising Engineer for the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department Right of Way  Division.
