GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK: This is highly specialized technical work monitoring and controlling the electrical transmission and distribution system on an assigned shift.  Work is performed in accordance with established policies and operating procedures, however skilled independent judgement in handling unexpected or emergency situations is expected.  An incumbent will have the responsibility and authority to implement real-time actions to ensure the stable and reliable operations of the electrical system.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Supervisor of System Operations.  Work is reviewed through observations, technical competence, and compliance with established operating procedures.    TYPICAL TASKS: Oper
