SALARY: $146,874 - $183,500 per year
DUTIES: As a Transmission Operations and Maintenance Manager, you will:
Serve as the regional Transmission Operations and Maintenance Manager responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and administering Transmission Field Services operations and functions throughout assigned Districts to ensure successful implementation of Transmission's long-term strategic initiatives.
Direct program planning and implementation of the region's Transmission Field Services program with approximately $200M level of annual resources.
Evaluate subordinate managers and serve as the second-level reviewing official for supervisory performance ratings.
Prioritize projects and initiatives within established resources and ensures alignment with overall BPA goals and commitments.
Advise senior managers regarding status of program initiatives and recommend changes to better meet BPA business objectives.
Provide leadership and support in administering the Bonneville EEO program for applicants and employees.

This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 2 days per pay period.
Incumbent may be required to serve a Supervisory/Managerial probationary period.
A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
QUALIFIACTIONS:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: experience in managing a team or serve as a technical expert in (1) planning and managing electrical power system equipment, facilities, and services, programs or projects, requiring bringing many resources together in a specific sequence and at a specific time across workgroups in multiple trades and organizational units; and (2) managing a program work plan subject to frequent, substantial, and unexpected changes, such as major equipment changes, failures or modifications for multiple facilities.
There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-15 level.
