Plant Radiochemistry - Tenure Track Faculty Position
The University of Missouri (MU) Department of Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in plant radiochemistry. We seek candidates working at the interface of plant metabolism and radiochemistry that leverage the generation of radio-isotopes at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). The faculty member is expected to develop a robust and externally funded research program exploiting the resource and capabilities of MURR to address fundamental questions in plant biology. Examples include studies of plant carbon or nitrogen dynamics utilizing radioactive 11C or 13N, micronutrient assimilation and/or exchange between plants, soil, and microorganisms, as well as metabolic flux and regulation using isotope ratio analyses.
