The Postdoctoral Fellow Associate will assist in collaborative research activities under the direction of Professors Gavin Britz at Houston Methodist and Behnaam Aazhang at Rice University in the newly formed Center for Translational Neural Prosthetics and Interfaces at Houston Methodist and NeuroEngineering Initiative (NEI) at Rice. The Postdoctoral Researcher will be focused on developing the theory of learning on graphs, devising novel learning methodologies based on graph signal processing, and investigating their applications in neural engineering.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students from diverse backgrounds. Additional duties include writing papers that describe the results of research, helping prepare deliverables associated with external research support, helping prepare reports to research sponsors, working closely with external partners on research and deployment of technologies that are the subject of this research, and helping prepare proposals to solicit external research funding.
