The City of Bend Engineering Infrastructure & Planning Department is actively recruiting for one (1) full-time Principal Engineer.  This opportunity is a Non-Represented, FLSA exempt position.

The City of Bend recently passed a $190 million general obligation transportation bond. The ideal candidate is an experienced Principal Engineer with firsthand knowledge and understanding of delivering bond programs that are ideally related to the management and delivery of transportation infrastructure.  The selected candidate will play an instrumental role in delivering this new program that will span over the next 10 years and highlights a diverse set of projects geographically spread throughout the City.  Expertise in all of the traditional areas of project management ( PMP certification is a plus) as well as demonstrated experience with public interaction, financing, and staff management will be vital as the selected candidate will be the point person for the City with respect to all of the bond-related work.  This position reports to the EIPD Director/City Engineer.
