City of Lincoln seeks a dynamic, experienced leader to serve as Assistant Director of Transportation for the Transportation and Utilities Department. The individual in this position will assist effectively organizing, directing, and coordinating the activities of the transportation division including Policy, Planning and Research; Development and Right-of-Way Management; Design and Construction; Traffic Engineering; and Street, Fleet, and Facilities Maintenance. Involves interacting with other City/County departments, consultants, outside agencies, elected officials, the media, and the general public.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in civil engineering plus 6 years of experience in practice of civil engineering in a responsible supervisory capacity; or equivalent.
Necessary Special Requirement: Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in the State of Nebraska.
