About the job:
GetUpside is growing and is in search of a dynamic Fuel and Convenience Store ("C-Store") Business Development Representative to drive new business and forge new partnerships within the Fuel and C-Store Vertical. You'll join a team whose experience hails from places as varied as Google, OPower, MasterCard Worldwide and Global Retailers. This is a ground floor opportunity to be part of a company that is revolutionizing how personalized pricing can drive revenue for merchants in a scientific way.
What you will do:
Partner with President of Fuel to identify target accounts and key relationships in alignment with company and vertical goals.
Identify and structure relationships with strategic partners in order to achieve sales targets within target geographies.
Outlining pipeline/client strategy
Drive new business and revenue in the Fuel and C-Store Vertical
Be responsible for attaining sales quota for the Fuel and C-Store Vertical
Creating and optimizing sales processes for the team
Minimum of 10 years of sales experience with 5+ years of enterprise sales experience
Expertise in identifying and targeting key industry players with proven Business Development and closing success.
Extensive rolodex of senior and C-level executives in retail gas or convenience stores
Category experience across one or more of the following: retail, QSR/restaurants, construction, manufacturing, travel, finance/insurance and CPG
Deep knowledge of corporate structures.
Experience in selling software to one or more of the following areas a plus: Safety, Operations, Diversity/Inclusion and Customer Service
Prior experience in building sales processes, including: CRM (Salesforce specifically), pipeline management, sales org/structure, compensation plans and more
Willingness to travel 70-80% of time in first year (will scale down considerably in second year)
Start-up experience desired
Bachelor’s degree or higher (Master’s degree preferred)
