Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position open for a civil engineer to join our transportation department. Responsibilities include developing plans, specifications and estimates for preliminary and final design of WisDOT related highway projects including construction staging; resolving design problems associated with the geometric design of highways; performing quality control of design work; design of storm water management and conveyance systems including storm sewer systems; bridge and culvert hydrologic and hydraulic sizing; pond sizing and design; roadway ditch capacity analysis and design. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited four-year college or university AND at least four years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or GEOPAK software; WisDOT highway design projects including geometrics, grading plans, quantity estimates, pavement design, construction sequencing, and specifications; hydrologic and hydraulic design related to storm water management; Hydro-CAD; HEC-RAS; CulvertMaster; FlowMaster; StormCAD; GEOPAK drainage. An EIT and PE license (preferably in the state of WI) are also ideal.
