The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking two dynamic leaders with strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to fill the role of Assistant Region Administrator for Engineering and Assistant Region Administrator for Maintenance.
The ARA for Engineering will provide oversight to project managers in the area of design, planning, environmental documentation and permits, construction, utilities, materials, survey, traffic development, right-of-way development and acquisition, access management, property management, consultant management, and program management.
The ARA for Maintenance will manage and direct the progress of organizational managers in areas of transportation; this includes, roadway system maintenance and operations, avalanche control, maintenance training, vehicle repair and maintenance, traffic operations and design, regional stores; as well as, building and facilities maintenance and design.
Certification as a Professional Engineer in Washington State.
Five (5) years of recent progressive management experience in Engineering supporting complex public transportation systems.
Extensive knowledge of complex engineering and transportation management principles, transportation issues, and transportation design.
