Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking a Construction Manager/Site Superintendent to support our Program/Construction Management (PM/CM) Practice. This full-time position will require travel to jobs sites around the United States.
Position Summary This full-time Construction Manager/Site Superintendent position will work closely with Amec Foster Wheeler’s nationwide resources. This position requires familiarity with design-build, engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), and design-bid-build procurement and execution for various construction project types, including vertical new construction, building renovation, civil/site infrastructure, pipe rehabilitation, and/or site remediation.
Key Responsibilities •Onsite supervision of construction subcontractors •Proactive management of safety/quality/change/risk •Leading progress meetings with project stakeholders •Verify contractor cost/schedule •Tracking and closure of RFI’s/submittals •Coordination of commissioning •Project closeout and documentation
Skills / Qualifications We are seeking self-motivated professionals with: •5+ years of relevant construction management/site superintendent experience •Experience supervising construction subcontractors with responsibility for monitoring the day-to-day field operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals are achieved •Must be willing to travel as required to support our major and minor programs •Excellent verbal/written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills •Extensive experience with construction plans and specifications, and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost •Commitment to safety - OSHA 30-hour training preferred •Experience in developing and implementing QA/QC programs to ensure work conforms to the contract documents •Liaison between contractors, designers, owners, and end-users •Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related position •Certifications preferred (e.g., CCM, PE, LEED AP BD+C, and/or PMP) •Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
