Performs inspections on parts, finished products, components and assemblies manufactured in house or supplied by outside sources to ensure compliance to established standards; and performs related duties as required.
Performs inspections and makes accept/reject decisions regarding each piece, part or product.
Uses a variety of gauges and other precision measuring equipment to conduct inspections.
External party coordination, maintenance of due dates for calibration and gauge verification program activities.
ERP system transactions to support returned goods, incoming inspection and shipping/receiving.
Inspects final products to check that all necessary parts are included.
Inspects and analyzes parts and products returned after distribution to the field.
Categorizes complaints in accordance with Company guidelines and procedures.
Maintains records and prepares reports.
May assist in gathering statistical data related to inspection.
May assist Quality Engineer to disposition MRB parts.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or two years of work experience in precision inspection; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of the proper use of inspection gauges and test instruments, blue print GDT interpretation, including manual or computer controlled CMM’s (Coordinate Measurement Machines).
Knowledge of electronics and electronic components.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 13485 requirements as they pertain to this position.
Ability to operate a computer and to use Windows, Word, and Excel.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to understand engineering drawings and read blueprints.
Able to bend, reach and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Good manual dexterity is required to use testing equipment.
