Hexcel is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for their Kent, WA operation. This role is responsible for Supporting the Quality Department in multiple quality engineering functions from inspection, auditing, drawing reviews, and supervision. Ability to interface with customers and suppliers is essential.

The selected individual will be responsible for the following efforts:

· Develop and oversee inspection for composite and assembly requirements.

· Participate in design reviews for part inspection and overall product quality.

· Effectively work with suppliers and assure requirements are implemented and compliant

· Analyze technical requirements of contracts, drawings and specifications to develop plans for product quality as applicable to materials and processes.

· Customer Relations - Regular and frequent communication with customer Quality Assurance organizations.

· Must be able to communicate directly, support company needs while maintaining the utmost personal integrity. Must work with customer on-site representation. Must visit customer sites from time to time and present a positive, professional image.

· Review and process discrepancy tags when MRB action is required.

· Maintain corrective action plans as required to support customer requirements.

· Create and maintain quality documentation when required by customer or internal system.

· Know and apply all applicable customer specifications and procedural requirements.

· Know and follow all applicable internal quality procedural requirements.

· Assure compliance to required systems and procedures

· Review and approve production planning with respect to the quality, first article and inspection requirements.

· Review and analyze Model Base Definition (MBD) and GD&T requirements

· The position may also include supervision requirements in the future.

· Conduct internal and external audit as required

· Four-year degree from an accredited college. Engineering degree preferred but not required.

· 2 - 4 year's work experience in the quality field.

· Strong technical analysis skills.

· Familiarity or hands-on experience with measurement and inspection equipment

· Knowledge of statistical analysis methods.

· Knowledge of AS9100 and Nadcap requirements

· Good communication and interaction skills.

· Supervision experience is desirable

Ability to read and analyze drawing and specifications with MBD
