Wood is seeking a Senior Construction Recordkeeper with a minimum of 8 years experiences of project document control, construction records keeping, and/or construction auditing experience on highway and bridge projects preferably in Texas. This position requires a candidate with effective time-management, written communication, planning, organization and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate has the ability to take initiative, work independently and coordinate efforts with multi-discipline teams. The candidate must possess excellent attention to detail and have the ability to produce high quality work under short time constraints.

Key Technical Responsibilities •Under general supervision and directions, control, manage and archive contract documents, project documents, construction records, and project-specific work control documents (e.g., procedures, forms and checklists) in accordance with established procedures •Lead the construction record-keeping related discussion in the pre-construction meeting and oversee the Contractor's bookkeeper on record-keeping procedures •Set up field record books for each construction project within assigned areas or projects •Train Construction Management (CM)/Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) team staff on construction document control procedures, forms and tools •Performs audits of records, processes and work control documents •Verify the Contractor’s compliance with federal requirements for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), on-the-job training (OTJ), Historically Underutilized Business (HUB), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Small Business Enterprise (SBE) programs •Monitor material testing requirements and reports for compliance with specifications and standards •Prepare and submit monthly and final estimates; check calculations against work log and estimate form to verify work is completed before payment is made •Prepare and type correspondence, reports and supporting documents •Process change orders, supplemental agreements, extra work orders, force account charges, and materials-on-handle forms •Assists with external and internal audits of company records and processes •Train less experience workers on work methods •Serve as lead worker for less experienced workers •Perform other duties as assigned by Direct Report
Skills / Qualifications •High school diploma or equivalent •A person in this position generally, but not necessarily, has a minimum of 8 years progressively responsible experience in construction recordkeeping and construction auditing in a professional fast paced environment •Related experience and/or education may be evaluated to substitute for on the job experience •Valid driver’s license required •Extensive knowledge of: ?Construction related federal and state government policies and procedures ?TxDOT contract administration manual and practices ?EEO, DBE, SBE, OJT programs and audit procedures ?Reading and interpreting applicable plans, schematics, blueprints and maps ?Preparing and maintaining records, files and reports ?Construction auditing practices and procedures ?Communicating technical information effectively ?The use of personal computers and applicable programs, applications and systems •Considerable knowledge of: ?Algebra, geometry, and trigonometry ?SiteManager and other electronic data management systems and tools ?TxDOT construction specifications, special provisions, quality assurance programs, and testing procedures •Communicate effectively orally and in writing to communicate problems, status of work, daily reports, etc. •Must pass drug test, fit-for-duty physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
Physical Demands •Flexibility to travel to construction sites for meetings and auditing on an as-needed basis •The ability to lift 40 lbs.
