Amec Foster Wheeler Environment & Infrastructure has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Industrial Water Design Manager to join our Phoenix, AZ team. Will lead major design/build water treatment projects in the mining sector. Will provide leadership and vision for Amec Foster Wheeler’s industrial water practice in the West US Group.
Will grow and enhance our capabilities to complete industrial water projects in the Phoenix office; Will also work with other Amec Foster Wheeler offices across North America
Will lead design teams to provide drawings, specifications and bid documents as well as support construction and commissioning activities
Will work with construction teams for cost estimation and project execution
Perform project management, cost estimation and proposal development including collaborating with other Amec Foster Wheeler teams
Participate in project coordination with the electrical, structural, process, instrumentation and architectural disciplines across Amec Foster Wheeler offices in the US and Canada
Developed proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets; Ensure discipline and quality standards are maintained for all projects
Managing and coordinating project teams, including ensuring the technical quality of deliverables
Analyze technology, resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
Will be actively involved in selecting, hiring and managing the team as we grow
Will travel within the US and Canada - Approximately 15% overnight travel
Skills / Qualifications
BS or MS in any engineering discipline
Design/build experience is required
10 years + water/wastewater related experience
Must be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
Leader and team player; Able to work with team members across various Amec Foster Wheeler offices
Demonstrated Project Management skills and the ability to lead, train and mentor junior staff
Ability to communicate with clients and maintain successful client relations
Demonstrated ability to manage budget, schedule and engineering teams
Ability and willingness to travel within the US and Canada - Approximately 15% overnight travel
Must pass drug screen, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy
