Major Focus: Develop, monitor and maintain performance reporting systems relative to the effectiveness of inspection, audit, calibration, and testing operations. Initiate action(s) based on results and analysis to drive quality ownership.
Oversee all day to day functions of the department and department personnel.
Achieve and maintain reproducible/reliable measurement techniques and test methods.
Technical problem solving with manufacturing to drive root cause analysis and process repeatability/reliability.
Manage quality improvement activities.
High volume, moderate variability product and incoming component mix
Inadequate information on Blueprints/documentation to suppliers
Development of staff competencies in new tools
Expected Performance Outcomes:
25% scrap reduction in first six months; 50% scrap reduction in first year on assigned product
95% on-time delivery from suppliers to commit date
25% reduction in number of MRB’s in first six months; 50% reduction in MRB’s in first year
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Materials engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years’ overall experience. 3-5 years of supervisory and inspection experience as a component of overall experience,
Broad knowledge of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control, process capability and Gage R&R.
Knowledge of quality standards including ISO9001; SEMI International; AS9100
Diverse knowledge of inspection & control methods, techniques & documentation.
Experience with SPC, Sampling Plans, Control Plans, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Capabilities Studies, Corrective Action and Preventative Action.
ASQ Certification as a Quality Manager (CQM) or Quality Enginner (CQE) a must.
Certifications or evidence of formal technical training in quality standards, measurement equipment, data analytics
