As a quality manager you take responsibility for the department quality roadmap and for monitoring the quality of the development department’s deliverables. You and your staff drive quality improvements in way of working, development processes, reporting tools, and training. In this role you also have the opportunity to help shape a new quality management system and group within a design and development organization.
Define the quality strategy (roadmap) of the Wilton Development & Engineering Department, working together with Competence and Function owners who take operational responsibility within their groups and competences.
Enable the staff to execute their accountability in quality control by maintaining and deploying department’s processes, providing regular reporting on process adherence to group leaders and project leaders.
Align department quality strategy with ASML Global Quality roadmap and peers.
Set Up the required Quality organization for Departments, Groups, and teams to ensure the Quality objectives will be met and hire/support hiring of capable personnel
Manage the quality team and deploy quality specialists (quality engineers) to enable the mission.
Execute process assessments on key processes to drive data driven process improvements.
Execute process improvement projects as part of the quality strategy at the department level and/or sector level.
Lead department quality in collaboration with other sectors (manufacturing, customer, support, etc)
Bring the voice of the customer into the department by providing feedback from customers, factory, and integration to the department. Improve the feedback loop.
Drive for continuous improvement; drive engineers to find root causes of technical issues and translate them into lessons learned. Drive competence leads/owners to translate lessons learned into guidelines, design rules or process improvements.
Supporting, reviewing and coaching projects and their engineers on the quality of technical solutions proposed and deliverables produced.
Detect issues and bottlenecks in the quality circle and drive their solution.
Drive the use of processes and embed the D&E Way of Working including industrialization.
Travel up to 20% including international
Bachelor or Master degree in Applied Physics, Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills in quality, project or line management.
5-10 years of work experience in a complex technically-driven international organization(s) preferably with direct experience of mechatronic or optical system design and integration.
Affinity with managing specifications and test results within one or more of the following technical areas: control, dynamics, actuator systems, signal analysis and testing.
Theoretical or practical experience with mechatronic systems, optical systems, control engineering, actuator design, dynamics.
Any lean manufacturing certification. Preferably Black Belt, will consider Green Belt
Prefer candidate to be a certified by American Society of Quality Engineering or similar.
The department DE US Wilton is responsible for specification, design, integration, qualification, industrialization and delivery of the reticle positioning, reticle handling, and alignment sensor functions and modules which fit into ASML end products and meet ASML business requirements.
