The Sr. Project Engineer will work with the Gasoline Development Skill Team on a variety of projects, including engine calibration, combustion development, engine performance analysis, etc. From technical studies and spec preparation to engine testing and validation, he or she will see projects through from start to finish. He or she will be a flexible self-starter who (1) communicates clearly, (2) works well independently, and (3) manages time/resources effectively. A successful Sr. Project Engineer will be proactive, develop strong relationships with customers and take pride in the quality of his or her work.
The Gasoline Development Skill Team provides the required combustion system development, performance development, air and fuel system specification and development, and engine calibration expertise to projects.
•Plan and perform combustion, performance development, engine calibration and other relevant engineering project work within the project team as required •Plan and manage engineering resources according to project requirements •Work on specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, preparation of specifications, technical plans, engine testing, data analysis and validation •Support/ensure data quality and writes technical project reports •Review project for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements, including opinions and interpretations •Coordinate activities concerned with technical development, scheduling, and resolving engineering test issues •Plan and execute engine performance and emissions research and development activities •Support, organize, and lead customer meetings •Other duties as required to ensure project success

7+ years of experience (OEM or consultancy experience is a plus)
Passenger car experience is preferred
SOP, DI or test cell experience is preferred
Must be willing to work off-site at a customer location near Auburn Hills, MI
