A postdoctoral researcher position is available to join the Baskin laboratory, Department of Biology, University of Massachusetts at Amherst to study the relationship between cellulose synthesis and growth anisotropy. Experimental material will be roots and also BY-2 cells. The position requires a Ph.D. in a relevant field and candidates with experience in cell wall biochemistry, quantitative imaging, tobacco BY-2 culture, or biomechanics are particularly encouraged. The successful candidate must be able to design and run experiments independently and be able to work collaboratively.
